About us

A small group of friends gathered at a local restaurant, their conversations buzzing with excitement and a shared vision. They had all been shaped by their experiences volunteering at the local Clubs, where they had seen firsthand the transformative power of education and mentorship. For years, they had spent their evenings teaching kids about science, technology, engineering, and math—STEM subjects that they were passionate about.

One day, as they shared stories over a meal, an idea began to take shape. What if they could do more than just volunteer? What if they could create something bigger—something that could provide these kids with the tools and opportunities they needed to truly succeed? The group of friends decided to start a nonprofit organization. They wanted to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, had access to the resources and support they needed to explore STEM fields. They believed that by giving these kids hands-on experience with engineering tools and projects, they could spark a lifelong interest in learning and innovation. They named their nonprofit "All-Star Imagination," and began working tirelessly to bring their vision to life. They reached out to local community program for support, and connected with schools and community centers across Bloomington. Slowly but surely, their efforts began to pay off.

Their dream had become a reality, and as they watched the next generation of engineers and innovators take shape, they knew they had made a difference. What started as a simple idea over a meal had blossomed into a thriving organization, changing lives one STEM project at a time.

Our engineering youth program is committed to giving children from low-income households access to excellent STEM education in order to empower their minds. Regardless of their socioeconomic situation, we think all children should have the chance to explore and realize their potential in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. We hope to close the gap and pave the way for these students to thrive in their academic and professional endeavors by providing a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Our program aims to inspire a new generation of creative thinkers and leaders in the engineering industry through practical projects, mentorship, and real-world problem-solving experiences.

Our vision:

Exposing youth to different facets of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) is crucial for their holistic development and future success. By providing opportunities for young individuals to explore these diverse fields, we can inspire creativity, problem-solving skills, and innovation. Through hands-on experiences, interactive workshops, and engaging projects, we can nurture a generation of critical thinkers and lifelong learners who are well-equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
